Myrtle the Sea Turtle

One of the highlights of our day at the aquarium, was walking to the top of the biggest tank and listening to a caretaker point out the different creatures as they swam near the top. One of our favorites was Myrtle. She's huge, almost 600 pounds, and over 70 years old! Here you can see her taking a big breath of air before swimming back down to the bottom to take a nap...

Myrtle is a pretty turtle. I have not seen one that large in my lifetime.

I would rather be doing most anything except sitting in the house looking at the sun shine on all this snow. Eating cookies sounds good to me.

I don't know about you, but my head reels with ideas and things I either want to do, should do, or wish I did — that I don't have much time left to do anything but take a nap.

Carpe Diem!
