Snow Falls

These falls are a popular picnicking destination. There are walking paths over (via a bridge!) and around the falls and several tables with barbecues nearby are located strategically throughout the area. The falls are located right beside Route 26, the major highway up to the mountains. Throughout Maine there are designated 'Rest Areas' and this is one of them....
FYI this is a photo of only a portion of the falls. There is still too much snow to be able to walk down to the lower part, so this is the top of the falls. Snow Falls Gorge is located on the Little Androscoggin River.

Excellent photography; beautiful composition!

Thanks for your visit to my blog!

Blogger is being temperamental and is giving me a hard time uploading my images, and just when I'm approaching my 500th post!!

That looks like melted snow rushing down from the mountains. You should bottle it and make lot of money. :-)
