These antique cars were part of the parade on Saturday. My husband is rather partial to that pretty blue Chevy. My favorite is the car second in line - I'll show it better tomorrow. Actually, my favorite antique car is wrapped around the third finger of my left hand. My husband (then boyfriend) owned a 1955 Mercury Monterey, which he sold in order to buy my diamond engagement ring...

I like the Mustang also. How sweet of your husband to tell you he sold his Mercury for your wedding ring.
Oh! "Louis" is very fond of these old cars! Right up his alley! That's a 1956 Chevy "Two-Ten" in the lead. The "Two-Ten" was the mid-series car; the "Bel-Air" was the top of the line.
Over at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo, we see Visions of Hell!
"Louis" got so excited about seeing the old cars, he didn't read your entire post before commenting...That's quite a story on your wedding ring! Quite romantic!
One more comment on the Chevy in the lead - the "V" under the Chevy "bow tie" on the front of the hood tells you it has a V-8 engine. If it didn't have the "V", that was your signal that it was powered by Chevy's 'stovebolt' six cylinder engine.
So you like the 'stang. What a sweet car/ring story. Ah Romance. MB
Oh my. Memory lane alive. We had a new Chevy like the blue one and then a even more impressive 1957 Chevy. And we never owned a Ford Mustang, the one you like, but we did own a lot of Fords.

I like this line of antique cars, and the story of your ring is so sweet!
Is that a red bug I see? :)
