The Ol' Green Booger

We took her for a quick spin yesterday evening, but he just couldn't wait another day to drive her to work... Mother Nature is teasing us with another spring-like day before the big storm that is supposedly rolling in tomorrow! I'm still hoping that it is just a big April Fool's Day joke that the weather forcasters are playing on us.

Even the kids, who love to play in the snow, have had enough! Hopefully today's warm sunshine will melt some of it away...

I looked out my bedroom window this morning, and this is what I saw....Jimmy staring down the hay in the back of the truck. Do you suppose he thought that it might jump out into his pen? He stood there for the longest time & I just thought it was too funny! Mind you, his hay feeder is still full, so it's a matter of the hay being tastier on the other side of the fence...

Really can't complain about having pizza & beer for supper...

We were so glad that the other side of town had electricity last night so that they could cook our supper!

The ice storm that started last night & has caused lots of flooding, has also caused lots of damage to the trees...power crews are working hard to restore electricity since it is going to get really cold again tonight & people need to heat their homes...we are grateful for our fireplace & to a local store for cooking us supper!

Anyone else want flies for breakfast?!

It had been awhile since we fed the Pitcher Plant, so the girls hunted down some flies...good thing they aren't squeamish!! They thought it was super cool...YUCK!!

Cooking Rocks!

We got her this cookbook for Christmas & she picked out this recipe for supper - Elvis Sammies...YUMMO! After assembling the peanut butter & banana sandwiches, we dipped them in an egg/milk mixture & grilled them, like French Toast. Dad thought it would be disgusting, so she was really looking forward to forcing him to eat them anyway, like he does when she hates her veggies! ;-) But, he grudgingly agreed that they were tasty, after all...

Our yard is getting smaller...

And this is why we didn't want to come home from Tennessee...
