What an awesome experience! A 'once in a lifetime' night that we won't ever forget!!
This is a video that was taken during Crystal Bowersox surprise performance at the Opry, while we were there watching from backstage. Prior to her being invited onto the stage to sing, she had been standing right beside us, chatting with us, just as excited to be backstage as we were...we had no idea who she was because we don't watch American Idol! Now, we are HUGE fans - she is a truly sweet person & an extremely talented artist.
We spent today touring downtown Nashville. I could have stayed here all day long, listening to all the wonderful performers that were on The Stage. Nathan Douglas was our favorite - good looks & a great voice!
1 year-old & she loves all things cowgirl. (She has the most adorable little pink boots you ever saw!) This was her first time actually petting a horse though...& she wasn't quite sure what to think about those big creatures! Tillie loves little ones though, so she was nice & quiet...
We are currently in Tennessee visiting my sister who just had her first baby. Today was her first visit with her horse, Monty, in over a week. You could tell they had missed each other, & that he thought she smelled different. We had to wonder what he was thinking about it all...
It was wonderfully warm today - it felt like spring! 46 degrees Fahrenheit. The kids skated anyway at the local rink, but had to periodically scrape up the slushy layer on the top of the ice. They didn't mind. That was fun too!
Last spring my younger son painted this hen for me as a 4th grade school project. I LOVE it & I'm so proud of it. He knew I would appreciate it because it fits into my kitchen decor perfectly...
Our adorable little Westie...who kept getting buried in the snow! She's so happy that we got some rain on Saturday night, which made a crust over the deep powdery snow. She can get around much better now...
Yesterday afternoon my younger son & I took a short trek through the snowy woods. It was tough breaking trail for us, but even more so for poor little Izzy! She had to stay right in our tracks, but she wouldn't have wanted to miss such a fun adventure! She is such a bundle of energy!!
Apparently we weren't the only ones that needed some coffee to get going this morning... I couldn't believe it when I reached for my spoon to stir more cream into my coffee! This was just too cute!! And it's a good thing that I saw her before I drowned her...I would have felt horrible...
