The littlest spectator...

This cutie pie is only about 6 weeks old! He was actually pretty well-mannered on the leash, for his age. He had sharp, little puppy-dog teeth though! His mom was a bit dismayed when I got down and petted him and he grabbed right onto my hand. I quickly reassured her that is was okay, we have a puppy too. It's worth the little bites to snuggle with such a cuddly bundle of joy!!

More Memorial Day Parade

I'm as patriotic as the next American, and I truly appreciated all the prayers and tributes to our soldiers. However, I'm afraid I'm even more obsessed with horses and so these were my favorite entries in the parade...

Miniature horses! Aren't they adorable????

Floral Tribute

After leaving the town center, the Memorial Day Parade marched to the bridge over the Little Androscoggin River, where members of the Ladies Auxillary tossed a floral tribute to our soldiers into the water.

Honoring Great-Grampa

Yesterday our boys decorated their great-grandfather's grave with American Flags. He passed away last year and they miss him. Great-Grampa served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Great-Grampa isn't buried in West Paris - we'll return to the Memorial Day Parade tomorrow. I just really wanted to share this special moment with my boys today...

Memorial Day

West Paris may be a small town, but on Memorial Day we host a big parade and pay tribute to our veterans. Here you see a portion of the 21 gun salute - I was thrilled to see that I got a photo of the muzzle flash! Stay tuned for more pictures of this busy day....

The Gosling Whisperer

This my youngest son. We have started calling him 'The Gosling Whisperer' (after "The Horse Whisperer" book & movie) because the goslings flock to him! They talk to him and look to him for guidance. It's unbelievably cute!! He can talk to the adults as well. When Canada Geese fly overhead, he honks at them. He sounds so much like them that they will actually respond.
