Barred Rock Hen


The Barred Plymouth Rock is a dual-purpose hen, a great layer, or meaty enough for the stew pot. Their coloring is eye-catching, although they look like jail-birds from old-time movies!

    We call these "Barred Plymouth Rock" chickens. LOL. Not sure I spelled it right.

    Today, October 25th, is my birthday -- I am 74 years old.

    Love the chickens....I dream of keeping chickens in my backyard. My neighbors would probably consider that a nightmare.
